Project Legacy · Evidence method
Why this connection?
A useful historical connection should be explainable without asking the visitor to trust an invisible inference.
1
Documented
What the source actually says or records.
2
Source
The public record a visitor can inspect.
3
Scope
The person, place, period, task or proposition the record actually covers.
4
Boundary
Kept available quietly so the source is not stretched beyond its reach.
5
Unknown
The missing fact that still prevents a larger conclusion.
6
Next question
The next memory or record most likely to reduce uncertainty.
Rigorous underneath. Simple above.
Legacy’s public experience should help a person move forward, not bury them in disclaimers. The evidence graph therefore keeps detailed boundaries at the claim and source level while the visible page emphasizes what is known and what can be investigated next.
Publication rule. A plausible relationship is not enough. Workplace-to-company, workplace-to-product and person-specific connections require their own source support before Legacy publishes them as documented relationships.
