What Garlock made in Palmyra
Garlock identifies Palmyra as its global headquarters and primary manufacturing location, with a company history there dating to 1887. The company is a manufacturer of industrial sealing products, including gaskets, compression packing and other sealing systems used around pumps, valves, rotating equipment and process machinery.
For a former worker, a product family or production area may be a stronger memory cue than an address. Packing manufacture, gasket production, machining, presses, mixing, finishing, shipping, maintenance and utility work are the kinds of ordinary plant details that can help narrow where and when someone worked.
