Armaspray, Limpet and Spray Insulation

Understand why a spray insulation name, an installer and the original manufacturer may not be the same.

The work

Spray-applied insulation could be used on industrial equipment and structural surfaces. Workers might remember spray machinery, hoses, application crews and material preparation more readily than the brand.

Limpet and the contracting business

Court records describe Armstrong Contracting and Supply using Limpet, an English-manufactured spray insulation, before requesting an alternative product.

Armaspray production

The appellate record describes Armstrong manufacturing Armaspray in 1967–1968 for its subsidiary, with remaining inventory used in 1969. These dates are not interchangeable with Limpet’s broader history.
